Above is a video that I put together last summer. I recommend watching it with loud speakers/headphones and in full-screen mode. It has the option for 1080p high definition, but may necessitate loading before viewing.
Please see our myspace weblog for a variety of other projects we have been involved in recently.
Concerning Pax Cecilia material, we are all still hard at work at some very beautiful and terrible things. Your continued patronage does us an honor.
hello kind pax followers. this is a post of triumph. as the days of summer wear on, the 6 of us are pushing forward. life’s responsibilities continue to revolve around us, but we have found time to work… every week.. on new material. the abundance before us is staggering. What seemed like little pieces of interesting melody and rhythm are forming into stories and dreams of a whole new sort, so prepare for something new. it will feel different to some and just right to others. time still needs to take it’s toll so please don’t get too eager. just know that it’s coming.
we still actually play together… the winter weather is breaking, and we keep finding ourselves in eachothers’ rooms armed with some instrument or another, making small sketches of music…
this particular one has slade on contrabass and me on violoncello, drunken with delay… please enjoy…
It’s true, we are no longer sending out the physical cd and artwork. We only have a small number left, and we are saving them to hand out at shows and in person. Anyone who emailed us and DIDN’T get an autoresponse back WILL be getting the album. We are now offering “Blessed..” as a free download on the main page. We’d like to thank everyone who has requested a copy, and everyone who has chosen to donate or tell a friend. The response to “Blessed..” has been wonderful, and we really appreciate all the kind words.
The band is focusing on a few new projects, both music related, and other. We’d like to start releasing more and more things here on the website, so keep an eye out for new things. We haven’t been playing many shows as we’re all busy with various other things in life right now, but we are writing new material. We will soon start playing shows around the upstate NY area, and hopefully have some new things to show off.
Well our summer tour is about finished. We have one more show before we all return to work and school. I think the general feeling is that the tour was a great experience. The people that we met and the bonds that we established are simply priceless. We were offered food and housing and friendship at almost every stop we made. The shows themselves were an overall success and whether there was 20 people or 200 people, we found the response to be overwhelmingly positive. We met some great bands (Piano’s Become The Teeth, Romans, …) and some great people (in Spruce Pines NC, Burlington VT, Salem MA, …). We had trials (broken axle on bus) and tribulations (being stranded at an Ohio truck stop for 48 hours), but as they say, these only made us stronger. And in the end, the journey was well worth it.
The website is going to be undergoing some new changes, and this more “formalized” journal is the start of it. You will start seeing posts from me and other band members about band related activities, our personal experiences, and just generally random stuff. Also, comments are open, so please let us know what you think.
On the album front, a large shipment of cd’s was just sent out. We were fairly backed up from when we were touring, so we’re sorry if anyone has been waiting a long time. We are doing our best to get these out to you as fast as we possibly can. The response has been tremendous, and we all feel very blessed with the amount of support and interest we are receiving. Also I would like to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone who has chosen to donate to us. We’ve had over 50 donations ranging from $5 all the way up to $65. This is a huge help for us as the cost to ship all these albums (especially overseas) is very expensive.
Again, thanks to everyone we’ve met or seen again. Continue to spread the word about our music and the free album. We can’t do this without you.
